TCP Tuesday - Sweet!

I'm back with a functioning laptop again :) Just in time for Julie's TCP Tuesday challenge...and she has a "sweet" challenge for us to use candy on our cards...I just happened to have some Dove hearts around the house so decided to add one as an embellishment to my card. I think it makes a nice addition! I used the brand new "Got Love" set and included some paper piecing for the balloons.
In other TCP news, Alma is introducing a new feature called "Pick of the Litter" to showcase all the fabulous TCP creations out there! You'll be able to check out the latest Picks at The Cat's Pajamas' Facebook page or at our Forum on Splitcoast Stampers. Hope you can stop by!

TCP Tuesday - Stamp Challenge!

Hello all! This week Susan is hostessing a fabulous Stamp Challenge for us! She challenged us to get out our TCP stamps and use any sentiment with the word LOVE or HEARTS :) My card features the brand new "Ewe Complete Me" set along with the "Heart Trio" dies. Aren't they fun? Anyway, we hope you can play along - and don't forget to post a link to your card on Alma's blog so that you're entered to win this month's Swanky Stamper prize!

The Cat's Pajamas New Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the January New Release Blog Hop from The Cat's Pajamas! I'm sure you've been hopping your way through all the fabulous creations from The Cat Pack, but if you want to start at the beginning, start at Sony's blog (Sony is also the hostess for this week's TCP Tuesday challenge!). Through the hop, you'll be joining me from Carole's blog - and now you're here!

For my card I used "It Had To Be Mew" and I think it worked well with Sony's color combo :)

Thank you, as always, for stopping by, now hop on over and see what Alma has been up to!

It Had To Be Mew!

It's Day 7 of our week of Sneak Peeks from The Cat's Pajamas, and I know many of you are going to be thrilled that Sprinkle is BACK! Soooo sorry I'm late!

Hi folks, I am so very sorry to be late to the party celebrating TCP's brand new "Got Love" set! I realized this morning that I hadn't posted it and again, I apologize...here's my card :) I think this set is one of my favorites from the upcoming release - and it's a tough choice to make! Keep checking out The Cat Pack's blogs all weekend long as the sneak peeks continue leading up to the big release on Tuesday! Have a super weekend!

Supply Challenge for TCPTUES141

Hi all, here we are starting a week of TCP Sneak Peeks to show off the brand new stamps coming next week from The Cat's Pajamas! Today Jen is our hostess and she's challenging us to use up our ribbon stash - but to use it for anything but a bow!
I used the soon-to-be-released "Bear Hugs" set. Isn't this little guy adorable? For my ribbon technique I simply attached loops of ribbon like little "tabs" on the left-hand side. I really like how it turned out! Thanks, Jen, for the challenge! Don't forget to upload your fabulous creations to Alma's blog so that we can all see what you've done with your ribbon - and your TCP stamp stash! HAVE FUN!

TCP Tuesday Inspiration!

Happy New Year! I'm your hostess for our first TCP Tuesday challenge of 2011 - and we're starting with an inspiration piece - this cute knitted hat from Little Missmatched. I took the "knitted" part and it made me think of The Cat's Pajamas' Divine Twine - so I pierced and stitched, and pierced and stitched some more to highlight this fun stamp set that will be available in just a couple of weeks (it's called "Got Love").
To play along (and be in with a chance to be the first Swanky Stamper of 2011), link your card to the post on Alma's blog and share your creation with us! If you're posting on Splitcoast Stampers, the keyword is TCPTUES140. Have fun!!

Happy Hearts Day

Hi everyone, I hope you're having a great weekend. Nattie had a friend sleeping over last night; the two of them had lots of fun together and are still playing now :) This morning I went and got my hair cut and colored (no more gray!), and this afternoon I photographed a bunch of cards that I made last weekend, so I have lots to show you through this coming week :)
This one was made with a stamp I picked up by Stampendous, and the paper is by KI Memories, I believe. The layout is a very simple one I chose to use from the 2 sketches 4 you blog.
This morning the sun was out, but now things are clouding over - we might get a few inches of snow overnight. Tonight the kids and I will be cozy on the couch watching a movie, and tomorrow Iain is taking them out for new ski goggles while I spend a few hours stamping. Sounds good to me!

TCPTUES95 - Inspiration!

Hello all, I'm the Hostess this week for TCP Tuesday! I found the inspiration piece at the left for us to play with: you can be inspired by anything about the picture - just let that creativity come out! I liked the color scheme and decided it would be perfect for a Valentine card using the new "Beary Good Year" set coming February 9th from TCP. I used a sketch from the Card Patterns blog.
To play along, simply upload your card to the slide show for this week on Alma's blog. At the end of each month, Alma chooses her favorite from the TCP Tuesday slideshows, and the artist is named the Swanky Stamper for that month. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

TCP Tuesday Sketch Challenge!

Happy TCP Tuesday! This week the super-talented Leigh has created a sketch for us...hop over to her blog here for all the details on how to play along. I decided to go with a Valentine's theme and make the most of this bright paper that I picked up recently from The Paper Company. I used TCP's "Be Still, My Beating Heart" set and added lots of bling - I hope you like it! Have a great day :)

Here's Sprinkle all dressed up on another card following this week's TCP Tuesday theme (and using the "Loving Mew" set) - and the layout is from sketch 149 over at Card Positioning Systems. Have a super day!

Love is in the Air :)

I was having so much fun at the weekend that I made another card that will work for TCPTUES93 :) The stamps on this card are from TCP's "Puppy Love" and "Loving Mew" sets - check out the link here to see the terrific deal Alma is offering on the latest Kitty Kat Packs!

TCP Tuesday 93 - It's a Blog Hop :)

Hello all! For this week's TCP Tuesday (TCPTUES93), we are having a blog hop featuring the Kitty Kat Packs available this month from TCP. Alma has put 4 packs together - each pack includes buttons and glitter, and one of the 4 featured sets: "Loving Mew", "Be Still, My Beating Heart", "Puppy Love", or "Hearts and Flowers" - our hostess for this week is Susan, so the hop starts at her blog....you'll find all the details on how to play along with us!

For my card I used a layout from the Card Positioning Systems blog (#148) and images from TCP's "Loving Mew" and "Puppy Love" sets - and we are also using fabulous digital paper packs from My Favorite Things - this set is called "Chocolate Kiss" and you can see it right here...and the next stop on the hop is Joanne's blog - have fun!!

I love you to the moon and back...

I don't have too many stamps by A Muse, but I do really like this one. The rocket ship and the sentiment are perfect together! The layout is from Jen's "Sketch For You To Try" (she posts a new one each weekend), and the patterned paper is from a new pack by Die Cuts With a View - the "Retro Stack" :)
Tomorrow I'll be featuring another blogger - I hope you'll stop by to find out who it will be...

Happy Hearts Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! I thought today would be a good day to post the card I made for my "Seasoned CJ Survivors" challenge. Patti asked us all to create something that includes blue, brown, and green, and also a red heart.
For my card I used this adorable ladybug image from Gina K Designs ("Framed Friends" set). Isn't it sweet?? I colored the image with my Copics. As for the red heart, I didn't have any sparkly red heart brads, so I put red Stickles on a silver heart brad, and it worked just fine! Crafters are great improvizers :)
So, just for fun, here's a list of 10 things I love (not including family, friends or pets). Feel free to play along and post a list on your blog if you'd like:
Earl Grey tea
The smell of new patterned paper :)
Bread (in any form!)
Looking at snow that hasn't been walked on yet
The sound of my kids' belly laughs
Quiet time
Teaching kids or adults something they didn't know before
A good Indian curry!
That satisfying feeling at the end of a fantastic book
Long weekends!

TCP Tuesday - Color Challenge

Hi everyone! It's TCP Tuesday! This week Jen is hosting an awesome color challenge - check out the color combo on the right :)

For my card I decided to challenge myself not to use any patterned paper - which is very difficult for me, given that I'm a patterned paper addict! It worked, though :) The stamps I used are from TCP's "Puppy Love" set. Doesn't Poochie look sweet all dressed up for Valentine's Day?

The layout for this card comes from Tracy's Sketch Challenge for this week!

3 Peeps Challenge :)

I was ahead of the game this month; I got my 3 Peeps card done right away and it's just been sitting here ready to post :)
Linda, Karrie and I challenged each other to make a card that includes: a heart; some kind of embossing (wet or dry); dimensions of 3" x 5.5".
Here's mine! I used the "Tree of Love" and "Bold Valentine" TCP stamps :) I used paper and ribbon by Heidi Grace, and the diamond embossing pattern was done with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. Thanks for stopping by!

TCP Tuesday Stamp Challenge

Hi everyone! It's TCP Tuesday! This week Karrie is our hostess - and she has challenged us to use any TCP Valentine image. You can check out all the stamps here!

I used the "Be Still, My Beating Heart" set, along with some fun shimmery paper by Heidi Grace. The circle shapes are cut from Nestabilities dies.

This card is also made from a sketch on Tracy's blog. She issues a weekly sketch challenge which you can read about right here. Thanks for a super sketch, Tracy!

Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for the first day of my "Blogoversary Blog Candy"! See you then!
