It's a New Release Blog Hop!

We're back with 12 more FAB releases from The Cat's Pajamas - and so we're having a Blog Hop combined with our TCP Tuesday PLAID challenge (hosted by the super-talented Amy, whose blog is the first stop on the hop!).

If you're working your way through the hop, you'll be joining me from Carole's blog - and by now I am sure you have seen tons of beautiful creations from the rest of the Cat Pack :) For my card I'm using one of my new favorite sets - "Witchy" - and for the plaid challenge I made my own plaid background by doing some paper weaving (remember those place mats you made back in elementary school?). I hope you like it! Now, head on over to Tracy's blog for some more loveliness! Have FUN - and as always, thank you for stopping by!

A little inspiration...

This week I'm your hostess for TCP Tuesday, and for our inspiration piece I have a picture with a back-to-school vibe :) For my card I used the pattern as my background and I played with the stamp of this spooky little lady who'll be available next week as part of TCP's next stamp release! The Cat Pack has been having lots of fun playing with the new sets...check out our blogs throughout the week for more of the new sets!
Remember, if you're playing along and posting your creation in the Splitcoast Stampers gallery, the keyword is TCPTUES125. And as always, don't forget to link your card to Alma's inlinkz gallery so that you can be considered for the next Swanky Stamper of the Month! Have fun!

Featured Blogger Friday!!

I'm back with another Featured Blogger for you :) This week's blogger is Tracy Clemente - a super-creative lady and a super blogging friend. Check out Tracy's blog, "Eat, Sleep, Stamp" right here. And here's some more information about Tracy (and a sample of her beautiful work!):

Tell us a little about you:

I was born and raised in Northern California. I currently live in the Bay Area - the best place ever! By day I work in human resources for a high tech company in the Silicon Valley managing employee benefit programs. And when I'm not spending time with the family you can find me huddled away in my stamp room getting crafty. My husband and I have been together for 12 years and we have a 7 year old daughter who is our world. We also share our home with 3 very spoiled kitties and any other kitties that seem to gravitate to our house! I am also a Step Mom to 2 wonderful (grown kids) and a Grandma to 2 amazing little boys!

How long have you been blogging?

I began blogging in early 2007 after stumbling across Amy Rysavy's blog. I'm consider myself technically challenge so it's kind of comical to me that I even have one!

Why do you blog?

That's a really good question. One that I ask myself often, like when I'm behind on my ever growing TO DO list! LOL! But seriously, I blog because it's an extension of my passion for stamping and a way to connect with others that are just as passionate. I have met so many *amazing* women as a result. And some actually in real life! The world truly is such a small place.

What’s your favorite topic to blog about?

Everything crafty! But I do also love to talk about my family & kitties. :)

Have you learned anything special from blogging?

That there are A LOT of good people out there. I have had a few bumps in the road since I began blogging and the unconditional support and random acts of kindness that I have received is such a special and unexpected gift. While I try to keep my blog mostly about my passion for stamping, I have to be honest when my life happens. I can't tell you how many times someone has left me a comment or sent me an email that has truly made my day or gotten me through a dark time. My family isn't terribly large so my extended family of friends is HUGE for me.

What do you hope that people get out of reading your blog?

You mean people actually read the darn thing? Just kidding! Well hopefully they get my sense of humor! But seriously I hope that they get a little bit of inspiration and a lot of friendship!

Can you give us links to 3 of your favorite blogs, and tell us what you like about them?

The hardest question for last! There are literally dozens that I pour through on a daily/weekly basis the I get inspiration from. Three that I visit every morning (with my coffee) are:

I {heart} 2 stamp - Jen del Muro
Wild Stamping Sprinkles - Tori Wild
Taylored Expressions - Taylor VanBruggen

I am completely in awe of each of these artists.

I am drawn to Jen's clean style and flair. Every time I see her work I'm like WOW, I never would have thunk to do that!

Tori is the queen of color. All of her cards have such a fun use of color. I am lucky enough to be on a design team with Tori and she just knows how to work a card. Oh and it's because of her that I own almost every Nest-ability out there!

And Taylor. Taylor is just amazing. She has a simple & clean style that I just love. And when my mojo isn't cooperating I can always turn to her wonderful Key Ingredients kits to help me along.

TCP Tuesday - A Haunted Hop!

Hi all!! This is a very special TCP Tuesday - we're doing a "Haunted Hop" featuring TCP's "Fright Night" set. Alma also has a special price for the "Kitty Cat Pack" which includes the stamp set and some coordinating buttons and glitter! The hop starts with Susan, and if you're working your way through the entire hop, you'll be joining me from Carol's blog!
Something else that's special about this hop is that some of our past Swanky Stampers are playing along too - which means even more super creations for you to check out!
Remember, you need to leave a comment on each blog to be eligible for the prize drawing :) Alma will announce the winner sometime this coming Friday. And there's a new way to post your creations directly to Alma's blog!
Now - head on over to your next stop - Amanda's blog! Happy haunted hopping!

Spoooooky!

I love this cat image by Impression Obsession - it's spooky but sweet at the same time :) I popped the cat and the moon off the front of the card to add some more dimension. The layout is from the Card Patterns blog; I believe it's the one from last week (Week 32). Have a great Monday!

TCP Tuesday!

Here's my card for this week's TCP Tuesday. Leigh is hosting a Sketch Challenge :)

For my card, I used TCP's "Fright Night" clear set and lots of layers in these Halloween-y colors. The circles in the background were embossed using a Spellbinders Impressabilities template, and then I just rubbed my black inkpad over the surface.

I cut out the ghosts and mounted them with foam tape, so that they really stand out on the front of the card. I added some bling with shimmer brads and Stickles, and I love the end result! Have a great Tuesday :)

TCP Tuesday

It's time to pull out those Halloween stamps! Jen is hosting a terrific TCP Tuesday stamp challenge this week - check out all the details right here. I used TCP's clear Halloween set, called "Fright Night".
The sketch is from Unscripted Sketches, and I used patterned paper from DCWV's "Doodlin' Around" stack for that fall background :) Have a super Tuesday!

Boo Cat :)

Hi all, I'm back posting cards for you :) There's lots going on at home, but I think creating will help right now, as long as my mojo is still hanging around...
Today's card is one I made with a cat stamp from ScrapbookingSuppliesRUs.com - they're selling 3 different cat stamps to benefit a fundraising project for cats and dogs called "A Place To Bark". The "boo" stamp is by Odd Bird Planet, and I think it's a great match for the cat image. The patterned paper is a new stack from Die Cuts With A View - I can't remember the name, but I'll find it out and add it later :)

TCP Tuesday - Inspiration Challenge!

It's TCP Tuesday! Our Hostess with the Mostess this week is Jen, and she came up with an awesome vintage Halloween picture to inspire us this week for TCPTUES28 (that's the keyword to use if you upload your creation to Splitcoast Stampers) :)
My card was made with patterned paper by Basic Grey and Rusty Pickle - and, most importantly, with some of the brand new Halloween stamps from The Cat's Pajamas :) You can check them out here! Hopefully I was able to photograph the card close enough for you to see the dimension of the stamped images. I have to say, I really like this one! And don't forget to check out the other TCP DT gals' blogs (linked over on the left)...they will have some awesome creations this week, I'm sure!

3 Peeps Challenge

Here's my card for our second "3 Peeps" challenge. Linda, Karrie and I each picked an element that we had to include on our card, and this month we came up with: a 4" square card, Halloween theme, and 2 pieces of ribbon :)

The stamps on my card are from The Cat's Pajamas' new Halloween collection, and the patterned paper is by K & Company. I used Cosmo Cricket ribbon :)

Fall card...

This is one of the cards I made yesterday...I used My Favorite Things' "Who's That Ghost?" Flopsey stamp and some patterned paper from Papertrey Ink. The ribbon is from my stash and the pin is by Heidi Grace :)
Have a fantastic Sunday!! See you tomorrow with my card for this month's 3 Peeps Challenge :)

TCP Tuesday!

Hi everyone! It's time for a color challenge :) Katie is our Hostess with the Mostess this week, and you can check out all the details on her blog. Since the colors screamed "Fall" to me, I picked one of TCP's Halloween images for my card - it's called "Ghostly Sprinkle". The "Spoooky" sentiment is also a TCP stamp...isn't it fun??
I hope you can play along this week and get in the mood for Fall with the rest of the TCP DT gals! Don't forget to check out their creations too...their blogs are listed over on the left. Happy Tuesday!
