Colonial Day

In true kid form, I was told on Monday that Colonial Day at school was today (Thursday) and that Nattie didn't have anything to wear. After searching through all our closets, I agreed with her. So on Tuesday I picked up some fabric and dusted off my sewing machine (that I haven't used since 2005!). Here's the result - I made the skirt and bandana :) I'm actually pretty proud of myself! The finishing isn't the best, but it does the job, right?

And on the right is a photo of our weather today!

Great sewing work! Don't you love those last minute school projects!? Great snow picture. We've got some in our forecast too. Hopefully they will be wrong. I'm so ready for this to stop!

What a beautiful snow picture...and it's so funny (unless you are "Mom!) to know kids still do the same thing...wait til the last minute before they need a costume, project, cupcakes, etc...Great job on the costume!

Great job with the sewing. She looks adorable. I can't believe it stills snowing! Yesterday it was 73 and sunny, but it is going to rain now for at least 4 day straight.
