Paint colors

Just 3 weeks until Jamie starts 1st grade! Nattie starts a day earlier - the middle school lets the new 6th-graders have the school to themselves for the day so that they can get used to their new surroundings. Isn't that a great idea?

We had a quiet day on Saturday and I got a bunch of cards made/started (see posts below). Iain grilled some tasty chicken which we had with a salad for dinner, and we watched a movie with the kiddos. On Sunday we went out to Home Depot and picked up paint for Nattie's room and the family room. Nattie picked out her own color: "Orange Peel"...I think we'll need sunglasses to enter her room :) For the family room we've chosen "Pepper Spice". I'll be sure to post photos once we get started in a couple of weeks!

Love that bright color! :-) It's nice to let kids choose. My DD just went through that process and chose light blue. Turned out great and she loves it! Can't wait to see pics of your painting projects. :-)

You know, you can ask the guys behind the paint counter to make it 25% lighter, so it is still the same color, but with more white in it. Thats what we did with Viv's room. Hope you are well.

Oooo, I'm starting to feel the itch to paint too. Our bedroom is the only room in the house that is still white - I've got a couple colors in mind & once the boys get off to school this fall, I may need to get started!
Have fun!!!

That yellow is bright! Love that chocolately brown! The good thing about paint is that you can always paint over the color if you get tired of it! Hopefully Nattie won't tire of that color for a while!

That is nice that the 6th graders get the school to themselves for their first day. Great colors!
