Sally cat

So, the vet called this evening to tell me that the bloodwork showed that Sally is diabetic. I had prepared myself for the worst news, so hearing this diagnosis was somewhat of a relief. It means we will have to give her 2 shots a day for the rest of her life, but we can handle that. What's a little shot among family, right? Thank you for all your well wishes for Sally :) They mean a lot, as always!

Glad to hear there is an answer for her. I had never heard of a cat with diabetes till a friend of mine went through the same thing.

HJ had diabetes. The shots get easier & easier with time for both you and Sally. Before you know, she will show up and start waiting on you!! Glad to hear she is okay though!! Big HUGS!!!

I'm so happy to hear that it is something that can be managed. Now the only thing to do is to train her how to give herself the shots. HA

((HUGS!!)) A cat I grew up with had diabetes when he was nearly a "teenager" and it wasn't a big deal. In fact he "recovered" from it and didn't need the shots anymore. He passed away several years ago of old age at well over 15 years old.

Aww....just catching up on my blog reading and am very sorry to hear about Sally, but I'm glad you have some answers. My aunt's kitty is diabetic and he does well on his special diet and insulin. She will be fine! Hugs to you and Sally!
